Want to upgrade your transaction limit on Mama Money? Here is everything you need to know about the documents required, based on the identity document you used to register.

Once your account is activated, you can send up to R25,000 per day, with a monthly limit of R25,000. 

You can upgrade your account to send up to R50,000 a day and R100,000 per month.

What Documents Do I Need?

The documents required depend on which identity document you used to register with Mama Money:

If You Registered With a Passport

You will need to provide:

• A valid Work Permit
• Proof of Address

• A 3-month bank statement

  If You Registered With a South African ID

• You will need to provide:

• A 3-month bank statement

  If You Registered With an Asylum or Refugee Document

• You will need to provide:

• A 3-month bank statement, submitted in PDF form

  To increase your sending limit:

➡️Select Increase Limits 

➡️Submit your updated documents 

➡️Awaiting confirmation that it has been updated

Alternatively, once you have the required documents ready, send them to Mama Money on WhatsApp (+27 64 802 8428) along with:

Your Mama Money registered phone number
The relevant documents based on your identity document type (see table below)
