Why is my card not working on Temu or Bolt?
Do not worry, there is nothing wrong with your card or your balance. The reason your card may not work on Temu or Bolt is because of how your Mama Money account was registered.
Here is what you need to know:
Temu and Bolt require customers to be registered with either a South African ID or a passport that includes a valid work permit
If you registered your Mama Money account using a passport only, your card will not work on these platforms
This is simply a verification requirement; it is not a block on your account
What can I do?
- Do you have a South African ID or a valid work permit? Contact us and we will help you update your account details
- Please do not try the same payment more than once; it will not go through until your account details have been updated
