Not sure if your WiCode has been collected or is still waiting? Here is how to check and what to do.
A WiCode is a unique code that allows you or your recipient to collect cash at a till point. Once a WiCode is created, it can either be:
- Waiting to be collected — the cash has not yet been picked up

Already collected — the cash has been collected successfully
How to Check Your WiCode Status - The easiest way to check if your previous WiCode is still active or has already been collected is to create a new WiCode. If the system shows that a previous WiCode is still waiting to be collected, you will be able to see this before proceeding.

You can create a new WiCode in 2 easy ways:
Option 1 — Via WhatsApp
- Step 1 — Send a WhatsApp message to Mama Money by clicking here
- Step 2 — Select 1 — Mama Money Card
- Step 3 — Select 1 — Send Money
- Step 4 — Select 2 — Send Money in South Africa

Step 5 — Type the amount you want to send and confirm
Option 2 — Via the Mama Money App
- Step 1 — Open the Mama Money app and log in
- Step 2 — Select "Mama Card"
- Step 3 — Select "Cash Send"

Step 4 — Type the amount you would like to send and confirm
What to Look Out For
- When creating a new WiCode, please take note of the following:
- If a previous WiCode is still active and waiting to be collected, the system will show this before you create a new one. Please cancel the old WiCode first before creating a new one to avoid sending money twice
- If the previous WiCode has already been collected, you will be able to proceed and create a new WiCode as normal

Make sure you have enough funds in your Mama Money account before creating a new WiCode
Important Things to Remember
- Do not create multiple WiCodes for the same transaction — this may result in money being deducted more than once
- Always make sure the correct amount is entered before confirming your WiCode
- Keep your WiCode safe and private — only share it with the person who needs to collect the cash
