When you send money using Mama Money, you normally receive an SMS confirmation that your transaction was successful or an SMS to go and pay. Sometimes this SMS may be delayed or may not arrive at all — but this does not always mean something is wrong with your transaction.
Before contacting our support team, please check the following:
Step 1 — Check your transaction history on the Mama Money app:
- Open the Mama Money app on your phone
- Go to your transaction history
- Look for the transaction you made and check its status — successful or pending
- If it shows as successful, your transaction has gone through, even if the SMS has not arrived
Step 2 — Check your transaction history on WhatsApp Send Bot:
- Open WhatsApp and go to the Mama Money Send Bot chat
- Follow the prompts to view your transaction history
- Confirm whether your transaction reflects as successful
Step 3 — Check your phone's signal and SMS inbox:
- Make sure your phone has a network signal
- Check that your SMS inbox is not full — a full inbox can prevent new messages from coming through
Allow a few minutes, as SMS messages can sometimes be delayed by your network provider

- If you have checked your transaction history and the SMS still has not arrived, or if you are unsure whether your transaction was successful, please contact us with the following information ready:
- Your Mama Money registered phone number
- The date and amount of the transaction made
- A screenshot of your transaction history showing the transaction in question
