Experiencing an issue with the Capitec app while using Mama Money? Here is how to troubleshoot the most common problems.
If you are having trouble adding a recipient on the Capitec app, please check the following:
- Check how many recipients you currently have saved:
- The Capitec app only allows a maximum of 8 recipients at a time
- If you already have 8 recipients saved, you will not be able to add a new one until you remove an existing recipient
- To add a new recipient, go to your saved recipients list and delete a recipient you no longer need
- How to remove a recipient on Capitec:
- Open the Capitec app
- Go to your recipients or beneficiary list
- Select the recipient you would like to remove
- Tap Delete or Remove
- Once removed, try adding your new recipient again
Please note: You can only have a maximum of 8 recipients saved on the Capitec app at any one time.
If you are experiencing a problem sending money through the Capitec app, please provide us with the following with your Capitec registered document number:
- A clear description of the issue you are experiencing — for example:
- What were you trying to do when the error occurred?
- What does the error message say?
- At which step in the process did the issue happen?
