- A missing refund occurs when a transaction was unsuccessful and reversed, but the funds have not yet been returned to your Capitec account. This means the reversal was processed on our side, but the money has not yet reflected in your Capitec account.
- Check your Capitec statement to confirm the refund has not already been reflected.
- Allow some time, as refunds can sometimes take a little longer to reflect on the Capitec side.
- Check your transaction history on the app to confirm the transaction shows as reversed or unsuccessful.
What We Need From You
If the refund has still not reflected in your Capitec account, please contact us with the following ready:
- Your document number — your ID or passport number linked to your Capitec account
- Your bank statement in PDF form
Once our team receives your information, we will investigate the missing refund. You will be notified as soon as we have an update.
