Is your Capitec payment still showing as pending and has taken longer than expected? Here is what you need to know and what to do.
Cross-border payments made through the Capitec app require 24 hours to be cleared and reflected on the recipient's side.
Before reaching out to our support team, please check the following:
- Make sure at least 24 hours have passed since the payment was made on the Capitec app
Check your transaction history on the Capitec app:
- If the full 24-hour period has passed and the payment has still not reflected on the recipient's side, please contact us with the following information ready:
- Your Capitec registered identity number
- The amount of the payment
- The date and time the payment was made on the Capitec app
- Proof of payment in PDF form — from your Capitec app showing the amount, date, and reference number
Once our team receives your information, we will investigate the pending cross-border payment.
This investigation may take some time as it requires confirmation from the receiving partner in the recipient's country.
You will be notified as soon as we have an update on your payment
