When you send money to a recipient via Capitec, they would normally receive an SMS with their collection details — this is what they need to collect their funds. If your recipient has not received this SMS, do not worry — there is a quick and easy way to retrieve it.
Before contacting our support team, please try the following:
Retrieve the collection message from your Capitec app:
- As the sender, you can find the collection message directly in your Capitec app
- Open your Capitec app under history and look for the transaction in question
- Find the collection details or collection SMS linked to that transaction
Share the collection message directly with your recipient—this is the quickest way to resolve the issue without needing to contact support.
